Professional Poplar takedown in Castleton by trusted Hope Valley tree surgeons. Safe dismantling, storm‑damaged fence protection, and sustainable timber use across the Peak District.

Our team at Marsh Tree Care Ltd. recently completed a specialist Poplar tree removal in Castleton, right in the heart of the Hope Valley. This job marked the beginning of an exciting renovation project, where an old pump house is being transformed into a beautiful new home.
As trusted tree surgeons in Castleton and the wider Peak District, we were brought in to safely dismantle a large Poplar positioned close to a storm‑damaged fence and a dry‑stone wall — a job requiring precision, planning, and technical climbing expertise.
High above the village, our top climber Matt carried out a full Poplar takedown using advanced rigging and controlled sectioning. The views from up there were incredible, but the work demanded absolute focus.
This was a textbook example of technical tree climbing, controlled tree dismantling, and professional arborist work — exactly what our clients across the High Peak rely on us for.

To prevent further damage to the storm‑affected fence line and wall, we used our tractor to guide larger sections of timber safely to the ground. This approach ensured complete control throughout the operation and avoided unnecessary impact on the surrounding structures.
This method is ideal for storm‑damaged tree removal, renovation project tree clearance, and any job where space is tight or structures need protecting.
As part of our eco‑friendly approach to tree services in the Peak District, we left plenty of Poplar logs on site for the client to repurpose. Sustainable, practical, and a great way to reduce waste.
